Introduction
PETWANT APP places importance on user privacy. PETWANT APP may collect and use users’ information during users’ user of the PETWANT APP services. PETWANT APP hopes that users will carefully read this Privacy Policy and make the choice as deemed appropriate by themselves based on this Policy as and when necessary. Users’ use or continued use of the PETWANT APP services will be deemed as their agreement to the collection, use, storage and sharing of their information by PETWANT APP in accordance with this Privacy Policy. I. Information collected by PETWANT APP
PETWANT APP may collect, store and use the following user-related information in its provision of services. Users’ refusal to provide relevant information may result in the failure to register for PETWANT APP users and enjoy certain services provided by PETWANT APP, or the services may not achieve the expected effect even if PETWANT APP may continue to provide users with such services.
1. Information provided by users: related personal information provided by users in their registration for the PETWANT APP account or use of the PETWANT APP services, such as phone number and email address; shared information provided to other parties by users via PETWANT APP, and information stored in users’ benefit of the PETWANT APP services. Shared information related to users provided by other parties in their use of our services.
2. User information obtained by PETWANT APP: information that may be collected by PETWANT in users’ use of the PETWANT APP services, including log information, equipment or software information, communicated information, information contained in shared content (metadata) and location information.
II. How PETWANT APP uses user information
PETWANT APP may apply the information collected in their provision of services to users to the following areas:
1. To provide services to users; when PETWANT APP is providing services, used for authentication, customer service, safety precautions, fraud monitoring, filing, and backup to ensure the safety of the products and services provided to users by PETWANT APP;
2. To assist PETWANT APP in designing new services and improving its existing services; to allow PETWANT APP to gain better knowledge of how users access and use the PETWANT APP services so as to tailor to users’ individualized demands, such as services and instructions in language settings, location settings and individualized help, or other responses to users or other users using the PETWANT APP services;
3. To evaluate the effects of the advertisements in the PETWANT APP services and other promotion and marketing activities and improve them accordingly; for software certification or managing software upgrading;
4. To engage users in surveys related to the products and services of PETWANT APP.
5. To provide better user experience to PETWANT APP users, improve its services or for any other use as agreed by users. PETWANT APP may apply the personal information collected through a service of PETWANT APP to other services of the APP in the manner of information gathering or individualization, provided that it complies with relevant laws and regulations.
III. How users access and control information
1. PETWANT APP will try to take appropriate technical measures to ensure users may access, update, and correct users’ registered information or other personal information provided in their use of the PETWANT APP services. PETWANT APP may require users to authenticate to guarantee their account safety when they access, update, correct and delete their personal information.
2. A number of PETWANT APP services allow users to publicly share their related information actively disclosed not only with their social network, but also with all the users using those services, such as the information uploaded or posted in their use of the PETWANT APP services.
3. The shared information will remain in the public domain until users delete it; even if users delete such information, the related information may have cached, copied or stored independently by other users or non-associating third parties out of the control of PETWANT APP, or saved in the public domain by other users or such third parties. Therefore, users shall give serious consideration to the information and content uploaded, posted and communicated through the services of PETWANT APP. Under certain circumstances, users may define the range of users with the access to their shared information through privacy settings of some PETWANT APP services. If users request to delete their personal information in the PETWANT APP services, users shall operate through such special services.
4. Users may submit the application for deleting their account on the page of “Delete Account”. Upon users’ deletion of the account, we will stop providing them with any product or service and based on the requirements of applicable laws, delete their personal information or anonymize it in the manner specified in such special service terms.
IV. Information sharing
PETWANT APP and its associating or cooperating parties will not share users’ personal information with any third party without the consent of users, with the exception of the following circumstances:
1. PETWANT APP and its associating companies may share users’ personal information with PETWANT APP’s associating companies, cooperating parties and third party service providers, contractors or agents (such as communication service providers sending out emails or push notifications on behalf of PETWANT APP and map service providers providing location data to PETWANT APP) (they may not be located within the users’ regions where relevant laws apply)
2. If PETWANT APP or its associating companies share users’ personal information with any of the aforementioned third parties, PETWANT APP will do its best to ensure such third parties abide by this Privacy Policy and other appropriate confidentiality and safety measures as required by PETWANT APP.
3. Circumstances in accordance with laws and regulations, court orders or other legal procedures, or as required by relevant government institutions, or other reasonable circumstances required for maintaining social public interests, or protecting PETWANT APP or its groups and companies, its customers or the physical and property safety or legal rights and interests of other users or employees.
4. PETWANT APP only retains users’ personal information during the period required for the stated purpose in this Privacy Policy and within the duration specified in laws and regulations. PETWANT APP uses various safety technologies and procedures to prevent the loss, abuse, unauthorized view, or disclosure of information.
5. Restricted by technology and risk prevention, PETWANT APP cannot provide one hundred percent guarantee for the information security even though it has maximized its efforts to reinforce safety measures. Users shall understand that problems may occur to the system and communication network used for their accessing the PETWANT services caused by factors out of the control of PETWANT APP.
V. Third party services
Our services may include or link with the social media or other services provided by a third party (including websites). Such social media or services may be either operated by the relevant third party or us. Users must be bound by the terms and conditions of services and the privacy policy of the third party (instead of the General Service Conditions or this Privacy Policy) for their use of such social media and services as provided by the third party (including any personal information provided to the third party by users). Users shall read carefully the terms and conditions.
VI. Applicable scope
1. This Privacy Policy applies to all the PETWANT APP services, with the exception of some specific services, to which specific privacy policies shall apply. Such privacy policies for the specific services constitute part of this Privacy Policy. In the case of any inconsistency between the privacy policies for the specific services and this Privacy Policy, the former shall prevail.
2. Users shall note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to the following circumstances:
(1) Information collected in third party services accessed through the PETWANT APP services (including any third party website);
(2) Information collected by a third party providing advertising services in the PETWANT APP services.
VII. Amendments
The terms of this Privacy Policy are subject to amendments by PETWANT APP and any such amendment shall constitute part of this Privacy Policy. Shall such amendments lead to material reduction of users’ rights under this Privacy Policy, PETWANT APP will notify users by displaying prompts at a notable location on the home page or sending an email to users or in other ways before the amendments take effect. Under such circumstances, users’ continued use of the PETWANT APP services will be deemed as an acceptance of the amended Privacy Policy.
